Lana visited Ottawa as an afterthought when her original destination got hit with bad weather. A testament that bad weather can be a blessing, Ottawa is a find. Frommer's Guide says it's the most under appreciated national capital east of Ulan Bator. Lana agrees although she's not sure where Ulan Bator is. Ottawa's striking downtown with the gothic spires and towers of Parliament Hill overlooking the Ottawa River is a sight to see.
