"Nice Resort Outside Coronado Village"

This is a nice resort on "The Strand", a few miles drive from Coronado Village with views of the Bay, Downtown San Diego and the Naval Yard. The rooms are comfortably furnished and there is lots of grass. Outside the resort there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance, but a nice beach is just a few blocks away and across the highway. If you're into biking, there's a great bike trail into the village and bikes are available for rental. There are also tennis courts at the hotel. Every afternoon about 5:30 the locals are usually out at the nearby Coronado Cays Park with their dogs and you can get some socialization. Ask at the front desk how to get to the park. If your stay is in the June time frame you might be lucky enough to catch the Loews Sponsored Dog Surfing Contest on Imperial Beach. Check it out on YouTube . Lana went in 2008. Fun.
