"Wonderful Views of Pikes Peak"

Lana stayed in the Buffalo Creek Lodge building at the resort, in a room overlooking Pikes Peak, which was a great deal (Thanksgiving 2008 at under $100 with AAA discount.) The Broadmoor, it's not, but it's a third the price. There's a beautiful lobby with a big fireplace and incredible views of Pikes Peak with plenty of room to run around when it's cold out. The room was nicely furnished, showing only a little wear, with his and hers' robes, granite counter tops in the bath, and easy access to green space.

The sound proofing was not so good. Lana could hear the TV and the people walking in the room above us. Ask for a top floor to avoid this. The staff at the front desk was awesome and they moved us right away. The breakfast buffet for $14.95 was great, and the view from the restaurant was spectacular. The hostess even asked for Lana. Tennis, golf and an exercise facility is available with privileges at the connecting Country Club of Colorado.
